Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375°F.
In a large bowl, mix all the meatloaf ingredients with a fork. Mix gently to avoid overworking the meat.
Lightly grease a loaf pan and put the meatloaf mixture in it, shaping it evenly.
Bake the meatloaf for 40 minutes.
After 40 minutes, add your chosen low-sodium glaze or sauce on top of the meatloaf.
Bake for another 15-20 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F. Once done, take the meatloaf out of the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
Meat Choice: For a leaner option, use 90/10 ground beef. You can also substitute with ground turkey for a lower fat version.
Breadcrumbs: Plain panko breadcrumbs are used to keep the sodium low. Avoid using regular breadcrumbs, which can contain significantly more salt.
